How ThreadKeeper handles your data

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter "this Policy") describes how the developer (hereinafter "the Developer") of ThreadKeeper (hereinafter "the Software") handles user information in connection with the Software and the related website (https://www.thethread-keeper.com/, hereinafter "the Site").
The Developer complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and other applicable laws, and strives to handle users' personal information appropriately.
ThreadKeeper records the following information when the user manually triggers a capture (shortcut key Ctrl + Shift + S).

This information is recorded only when the user explicitly presses the shortcut key. There is no background monitoring or automatic recording of any kind.
Please note that browser URLs, page titles, clipboard contents, and file paths may incidentally contain personal information such as usernames. The Software does not have the ability to automatically filter or anonymize such information. Please exercise caution before capturing if sensitive information may be present in the clipboard or elsewhere.
Since the Software does not have any registration or login functionality, it does not collect personal details such as names, email addresses, or passwords.
All session data recorded by the Software is stored exclusively in a local folder on the user's PC.
%APPDATA%\ThreadKeeper\No data is transmitted to any server operated by the Developer. The Developer cannot access user session data.
Data is retained until manually deleted by the user. You may also delete the entire storage folder when uninstalling the Software. Please note that data is stored unencrypted on the local file system, so please ensure appropriate access controls (e.g., login passwords) are in place on your PC.
When using the AI summary feature of the Software, a portion of the recorded information is sent to the AI provider's API as configured by the user.

When using Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic services, data may be sent to servers located in the United States. This may constitute "provision to a third party in a foreign country" under Article 28 of the APPI.
By selecting an AI provider and configuring an API key, the user is deemed to have consented to the transmission of data to that provider.

The Developer assumes no responsibility for the data handling practices of these third-party services.
Analytics tools may be introduced on this Site in the future for service improvement purposes. This Policy will be updated accordingly at that time.
This Site currently does not use cookies. If cookies are used in the future, this Policy will be updated with a clear description of their purpose.
If you contact us via email (support@thethread-keeper.com), we will use your email address and inquiry content only to the extent necessary for responding. This information will not be used for any other purpose.
